Arms theft: Cops to quiz dealer
PATNA: Coincidence though it may seem, but the fact, according to the police, is that another firearms shop of Dhirendra Prasad Singh, from whose shop 62 guns and rifles were burgled here on Wednesday night, was looted a decade ago.
No less surprising is the fact that Singh concealed this fact from the police when they started investigation into the Wednesday night's theft.

Burglars broke open the locks of the shutter of Singh's Vishal Arms near Hathwa Market here and carried away the 62 guns and rifles most of which belonged to customers who had deposited them for repairs.
Although the police are yet to make a breakthrough in the sensational case, they have decided to quiz Singh.
"Singh hid the fact that his another arms shop at Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district was looted a decade ago, and this gives rise to suspicion," Patna SSP Kundan Krishnan told TOI on Friday.
Singh hails from Barha village in the Naxalite-affected Bhojpur district. "Many strongmen used to visit Singh's shop as customers," he said avoiding, however, to make a direct comment on the matter.
City SP R K Rathi said the police should be making a breakthrough in the case in a day or two.
Police sources did not rule out the possibility of extremists' involvement in the theft. "It could be the handiwork of a criminal gang either," another police official said, reiterating that things should be clearer in a day or two.
